We have had such sweet first days at the schools. Feeling so loved and welcomed with such joy and honor!
Today was Welcome Day at New Life Academy. And just as always it has filled us with a joy that will we will cherish for a lifetime! Thank you New Life Academy for welcoming and loving us so well today!!
Students shared their wonderful presentations as they welcomed us to their campus. It is so amazing to see all the beauty and gifts God has given our students and staff!
We spent some of the day assembly and giving out the sponsor gift bags. Each and every student and staff member received a bag and was told how loved they are! We gave out over 1,000 gift bags over the last 2 days!! What a blessing this gift is to the student/staff and their family! Thank you to all who gave to make this possible!

To all my friends and everyone reading this…mambo from Kenya. My prayer is that these words point to and glorify what God is doing here.
This is my second time in Kenya, and once again, everything has reminded me that God, and God alone, is our only true source of joy, hope, and love. Here in Kenya, students and teachers at our Christian schools are hearing that truth every day.
Some already know Jesus as their personal Savior, and others don't yet. I talked with one girl the other day who shared that she knows Jesus as her personal Savior, but her parents are Muslim, and that has created conflict in her home. Hearing stories like hers has stayed with me.
This time around, I've also had the privilege of hearing more of the teachers' testimonies. Their faith is so genuine and so inspiring. We came here hoping to be a blessing to the people of Kenya, but once again, I find myself being the one encouraged.
The worship of Jesus in these schools is evident: in their smiles, their laughter, their hugs, the deep gratitude they show in every conversation and the songs they sing, proudly, as if in one voice, praising Jesus. It brings me to tears every time.
There’s so much more to say but I’ll leave room for others to share and close with what we often use to open and close our time together here in Kenya with the teachers and students:
